How to Use the Currency Converter for Any Pair

Select the currency you're converting from, the currency you're converting to, and enter an amount — the converter instantly shows the equivalent value using the latest available exchange rate, along with the date that rate was last updated.

The Currency Converter covers any pair from a large list of world currencies — here's what each part of the tool does.

Choosing currencies and entering an amount

Pick a "from" currency and a "to" currency from the dropdowns, then type an amount in either field — the converted value updates instantly as you type, and works in both directions, so entering a value in the second field converts back the other way.

Reading the rate date

The rate shown is labeled with the date it was last updated. Exchange rates move continuously during market hours, so a rate from earlier the same day is a close approximation, not necessarily the exact rate you'd get in a real transaction — for anything time-sensitive, treat it as a reliable reference point rather than a locked-in price.

Swapping the base currency

A swap control flips which currency is "from" and which is "to" without needing to reselect both from the dropdowns — useful when checking a conversion in both directions, like figuring out both what a purchase costs in your home currency and what a budget in your home currency converts to abroad.

Frequently asked questions

How current is the exchange rate data?

The converter uses daily-updated rate data — accurate enough for budgeting, comparing prices, and general reference, though not identical to the live, second-by-second rate a bank or card network applies at the exact moment of a transaction.

Can I convert between any two currencies, or only to/from US dollars?

Any pair in the supported currency list can be converted directly against each other — there's no requirement to route through US dollars first.
