Setting target dimensions
Enter specific target width and height, or a scale percentage, to resize the image — most tools maintain the original aspect ratio automatically unless a specific override is selected, avoiding an accidentally stretched or squashed result.
Adjusting compression and downloading
If a compression quality setting is offered, adjusting it and previewing the result before downloading helps find the smallest file size that still looks acceptable for the intended use — comparing the preview at actual viewing size, not zoomed in, gives the most realistic judgment.
